StorageAnalytics Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 25, 2026
StorageAnalytics (“the app”), developed by Zakharii Melnyk, consists of an iPhone app and a companion Mac app. This policy explains what happens to your data when you use them.
Summary
We do not collect, store, or share any of your data. The app has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and never connects to the internet.
Your photos and videos
- The iPhone app reads your photo library, with your permission, only to show which items take the most space and to copy the items you choose to your own Mac.
- Copies travel directly from your iPhone to your Mac over a USB cable. They are never sent to us or to any server.
- On your Mac, files are saved only in the folder you choose. We have no access to that folder.
- Photos and videos are deleted from your iPhone only when you ask. iOS always shows its own confirmation, and deleted items go to “Recently Deleted” in the Photos app.
Data stored on your devices
To work reliably, the app keeps a small amount of information locally. It never leaves your devices:
- iPhone: the list of items waiting to be copied (photo library identifiers and sizes), and a pairing key for each Mac you allowed, stored in the iOS Keychain.
- Mac: a log of received files (file names, sizes and checksums) inside the destination folder, and pairing keys for the iPhones you connected.
You can remove all of it by deleting the apps. On the Mac, also delete the .storageanalytics folder inside your destination folder and ~/Library/Application Support/StorageAnalytics.
Children
The app does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published at this address with a new “Last updated” date.
